Description
Our client is an East London local authority.
We have been asked to assist with the development of a microsite which will sit outside of the main Council web domain.
The website will present a range of services provided by the Council to local residents and businesses and will enable users to book and pay online.
The website will be designed using a Drupal CMS and include some software tools and add-ins already used by the Council on their main website.
The new website will be produced within an accelerated time frame; the short-term plan is to deliver a minimally viable product featuring essential features and functionality.
We have been asked to recruit a contract User Experience Designer ( UX Designer) to work with the developer to improve functionality, usability and the customer journey, to keep internal stakeholders informed of progress and to manage their expectations.
We are looking for a UX Designer who ideally, has worked within an Agile environment with:
- An in-depth understanding of user experience principles
- Experience of working on E-commerce websites (ideally but not essentially for a local authority)
- Project management skills gained in a fast-paced environment
- Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of information architecture
- Wireframing and prototyping
- Testing
Please note: due to the short delivery time of this project we are not looking for someone to conduct user research and workshops but to rely more on their own experience of delivering similar websites.
