Our Client, one of the one of the largest consumer finance companies in Ireland, is looking to recruit a Software Developer to join their business in Dublin.
Specific Job Duties: • Developing and maintaining our clients Finance's in-house applications written in VB6 and C#.
• Liaising with Business users & accurately interpret the requirements for new or amended systems functionality
• Maintaining systems by monitoring and correcting software defects;
• Obtain business knowledge in order to understand the code logic of the in-house applications
• Maintaining and upgrading ASP.NET applications
• Converting applications from VB6 to C#

Requirements:
• Creating / updating windows forms and web pages applications
• Proven experience with delivering software applications
• Programming language: C#, javascript / jquery / angularJS
• Knowledge of VB6
• ASP.NET
§ Framework 4.5 or higher
§ MVC and Web Forms design
§ WCF web service
§ I.I.S. 7.5
• Database:
§ Progress database desirable but not essential.
§ Excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2008, including stored procedures
• Microsoft Office products
• Basic Helpdesk Support:
§ Account Administration control (using Active Directory / Citrix)
