ECMA Script Developer

An ECMA Script Developer is urgently required for a long-term, lucrative contract position with a major financial services client in Amsterdam.

The ECMA Developer will be specialised in web development with a passion for ECMA Script (Server and Client side JavaScripting), and will be contributing to an Intranet site that creates Real Time online dashboards for everyone from senior management to team members showing everything about the client infrastructure estate (eg how are you using your CPU/MEM). This website combines many different data sources such as CMDB, performance monitoring tools, etc.

The ECMA Developer will ideally have 65%+ of the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript (ECMAScript) both Client AND Server Side
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Different Browsers/MD
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server and SQL.
  • Bachelor in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
  • Able to analyse, build, test and deliver working software.
  • Can understand and can use related CD tooling. GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible.
  • Apply the principles of continuous delivery and contribute to achieving continuous integration.
  • Good awareness of application and computer security.
  • Agile principles and ITIL best practices are Embedded in your way of working.
  • Up to date on latest developments
  • Flexible adapting to new approaches and to making improvements when necessary, without over-engineering solutions.
  • Proactive, tenacious and value a multi-cultural work environment.
  • Able to take responsibility for getting things done whilst positively influencing others
  • Able to work independently and together with your own team, also capable of efficiently aligning with other internal and external parties
  • Proficient in English, Dutch speakers preferred

Please also ensure that you can provide a (simple) example of a website you have built so that the client can see your style of programming upfront and discuss it at interview.
