Operations Engineer, DevOps, Agile, ITIL, AML, Fraud

My client, a major financial organisation, is currently looking for an operations engineer to be responsible for running their application and for changing the applications within IT Systems. Besides the support activities, the Operations Engineer will implement change requests based on his/her broad knowledge as well as being capable of taking over the basic activities of other DevOps team members where necessary (analysis, development and testing).

As the Operations Engineer you will have

  • General knowledge of software development and knowledge about the business domain for which you work.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Agile, Lean and ITIL.
  • The ability to work with the team and stakeholders to find the balance between smaller and larger deployments, while you consider chain dependencies.
  • Knowledge and experience with specific tools and technology.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the combination of business domain and related IT chains.
  • Controlled change - in accordance with quality standards and the required non-functional - of the applications using standard processes (change-, release management).
  • Experience in carrying out activities in the area of (test) environment coordination and life cycle management.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement as this is the basic mindset of the Operations Engineer, which is strongly focused on automating work in and around the team

Additional requirements for Datamanagement & Detection:

  • Knowledge of compliance themes like AML, Sanctions, Fraud, CDD, Market Abuse, Conflicts of Interest and processes and products of the payments- distribution- and finance area. High volume transactions, 24x7 support. Familiair with specific demands of the Compliance area (national and internatonal) and acting with confidential information (insider statement is conditional).
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2012, SQL Server, linux (essentials), C:D (for FIM) OR linux/unix, oracle, WebSphere, MQ, C:D, GEAK, Kafka (for Detection)
  • Scripting and programming skills, ambition in and experience with automation of (maintenance) processes (with XL Deploy, RIT, Jenkins, Java)
