Our client, a global leading ICT company are recruiting for a to join their business in Ireland.

Position Title: Research Engineers

Responsibilities:
- The team in Dublin is responsible for building innovative features that take video solution to the next level, with media discovery and playback on any device, anywhere, at any time scaling to 100’s of millions of users, with extreme reliability and stability.
- There are 3 different teams:
1. VR/AR team (researches on VR Bit Rate optimization, FTV User perspective prediction, 4K/8K H.265/H.266 Parallel transcoding ,and GPU /ASIC acceleration, High quality Low bit rate encoding/decoding for 4K/8K/HDR)
2. Video Intelligence (researches on Knowledge Base for Video Tags, Video Ad Embedding, ML/DL based content similarity detection, thumbnail detection, motion detection, repetition detection)
3. The Video Big Data (Video Micro Tag Constructing, Video Knowledge Constructing, User Affection Analysis, Accuracy of VOD Recommendation optimization, Video Cloud)
- You responsibility will be to participate in cutting edge research in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications and to develop solutions for real world, large scale problems.

Qualifications:
- PhD degree in Computer Science. The above rearching fields is much preferred.
- Experience in one or more of C, C++, Java, Go or Python.
- Experience with Unix/Linux systems with scripting experience in Shell, Perl or Python.

Preferred experience for the role:
- Continuous Integration tooling and automation processes
- Test driven development. Designing and developing unit, component and functional tests and test infrastructure
- Experience with DVB and/or IPTV client or server products.
- Experience in coding, monitoring and supporting costumer facing services.
- Experience in Windows Azure, AWS, OpenStack or alternative cloud platforms
- Experience in one or more of middle-ware components/open source framework/DB
- Experience in working across disciplines and geographical borders
- AngularJS2.0, Node.js, Zookeeper, Redis, Cassandra, MongoDB, mysql, Oracle.
