Description

As a Senior Software Architect you lead the development and maintenance of services (Components), online applications and business applications. Your technical choices result in high software quality and efficient software development by applying the right technologies, proper design methodologies and proper service architecture and security by design. You are constantly balancing between the use of services and applications of third parties vs. in-house development.

The Senior Software Architect is also responsible for continuously improving the technical skills of software developers (technical coaching, training, certification, etc.). You also advise the management about the technology strategy.

An important aspect is that the Architect will also lead several scrum teams, and has a hands-on approach (will also develop as well).

Job requirements Senior Software Architect Video Streaming/Online Commerce company (lead architect):

  • HBO/university degree in computer sciences, informatics or comparable, plus at least seven years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with software development, software/service architecture and software quality in an online environment (online workflow systems, high volume video streaming).
  • Experience as a team lead of several SCRUM teams.
  • Awareness and experience with the software and security coding principles.
  • Familiar with: API architecture, Micro Services; DotNet Core, React and NodeJS, DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Docker, etc.).
  • Experience in cybersecurity and security by design.
  • Extensive experience with Agile works.
  • Able to lead the current technical development team and take over the lead on the architecture.
  • Being informed of the latest technological advances (in terms of services like NetFlix).
