Full Stack JavaScript Engineer - Southbank - London - £500 per day.
Large Ecommerce retainer are looking for a JavaScript Engineer to work out of their European HQ on the South Bank London
They are looking for a Full Stack Javascript Engineer to work within the Ecommerce team. they have an ambitious goal to replatform to deliver an outstanding experience for our customers, internal business users in order to drive significant business growth. To be successful in this role you will have solid experience building optimised, scalable modular websites using technologies based on JavaScript. You will also have demonstrated the ability to put together delightful user experiences.
You will know and understand both the good and bad parts of Javascript and the implications in terms of available APIs, patterns, anti-patterns and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Utilising Javascript to work at all levels of our stack from Front End Components within React to API's written in Node. Ensuring that all code is tested to the appropriate standards to allow us to continuously deploy.
- Working in a team delivering using software development practice such as; Agile, collaborative code ownership, unit testing, BDD, code reviews, GIT, continuously delivery.
- Coding in HTML5, ECMAScript 6, Sass, React, Node.js
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Passionate about regularly shipping high quality code to drive growth business.
- Expert in Frontend JavaScript (Ecmascript 2015), Sass, and CSS3
- Expert in Backend Javascript (Node): Express, KOA, Clustering, NPM
- Experience with React, Component-based design, Redux and Webpack
- Experience with node task-runners and Front End packaging tools
- Experience with Node.js test frameworks and tools, eg. Mocha, Chai, Jest, Enzyme
- Have a test first mindset
- Experience working with an Agile process eg Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience working with E-commerce sites with a high-volume of transactions.
This position is based on the Southbank in Borough and offers a daily rate up to £500 per day for an initial 3 months on a rolling basis.
