Database Engineer (SQL/NO SQL)
A Database Engineer (SQL/NO SQL) is urgently required for a long-term, lucrative freelance position with a major financial services client in Amsterdam.
The Database Engineer (SQL/NO SQL) will be an 'all-rounder' with Datamodelling skills to help teams to start using a Database (Database as a Service if applicable). The Database Engineer (SQL/NO SQL) will explain Database basics, the fit-for-use, challenge their use-case, tools and deliver advice to teams working on a diverse range of banking products. In this way, the Database Engineer (SQL/NO SQL) will make sure that teams improve their use of a database in an intuitive and flexible way.
- Bachelor and/or Master degree in Information Technology
- Excellent technical background on multiple types of databases, eg SQL, NoSQL, etc (at least 4 years' experience) and willing to broaden this horizon
- Continuous Delivery/CDaas
- Experience in translating a logical design into one or more physical Databases
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Team player with knowledge sharing mentality
- Knowledge of Databases and Datamodelling
- Able to persuade, negotiate and resolve conflicts
- Fluent English, Dutch speakers strongly preferred
