Description

Our client are in the insurance industry and are currently looking for a Functional Analyst to join their team in Brussels for an initial 6 months period. YOU MUST SPEAK FRENCH.

The candidate will work in the Individual Life Division Mainframe Cobol/DB2 section. He/She will be responsible for the functional design of projects of size between 50 mds up to 500 mds. The candidate will be also responsible for the technical lead of the implementation of these projects.

This includes (but not exclusively):

Techno-functional design of the deliverables within a functional domain

SWOT analysis and implementation of improvements of the functional domain in scope

Scoping, estimation, planning and follow-up of the design and implementation of projects impacting the domain

Communication & synchronization with the architects and project leaders

Collaboration with the teams & the team leaders of other functional domains that are impacted or involved in the project.

Adequate communication & progress reporting to the IT management.

Mandatory Technical Expertise

Experience with Application Development of Administrative systems in an IT department ability to capture main topics in discussions with technical IT people, Mastering of MS Office tools. Strong understanding of Source code Cobol and SQL Preferable! Web based Client Server systems with MF Back End (Cobol/DB2) Batch process experience, Cobol/DB2 programming experience.

Mandatory Functional Experience

Significant experience as Functional Analyst, in direct contact with Business stakeholders. Experience with analysis methodologies.
