Description
For one of my clients, an innovative worldwide finance institution, based in Amsterdam, I'm looking for a Middleware Engineer. In this role, you will be a part of the team responsible for the development of components used by other teams throughout the company. This team aims to deliver all the tools and processes which help accelerate the delivery of new software and features to their customers. Within this team, you will be responsible for developing, running and maintaining a container solution. This cluster is used to host tools used by thousands of software engineers
>_The Ideal Applicant
- Has Bachelor level professional and intellectual ability
- Has 5+ years' of platform engineering and/or total stack experience in creating highly scalable mission-critical environments
- Has good knowledge of OS fundamentals and the ability to apply it in the context of modern OS's (ie RHEL, Tiny Core, Windows)
- Has knowledge of Container and Container management technologies (also security) (ie Docker, Mesos, etc)
- Has knowledge of High Available storage tech like NFS, GlusterFS, Ceph
- Has excellent knowledge of Bash Scripting and modern Scripting language like Python, Ruby
- Has strong knowledge of Ci/Cd tooling

- Can you streamline the development process from code check-ins, automated deployment, and acceptance testing, all the way towards production?
- Are you able to develop efficient and maintainable code with the right balance between solving the problem at hand and not over-engineering your solution?
- Are you able to use a wide variety of open source tech and tools?
