Proteus Europe is searching for a Technical Expert FACE channels for a 6 month contract role based in Brussels, Belgium.
Our Client:-
Our client is, as the first universal direct bank, a strong player on the Belgian market. The bank provides its customers with a wide range of financial products and services via the distribution channel of their choice (click and face). Our clients customers are based in retail as well as private banking clients, as well as small, medium and large enterprises.
Your New role:-
As Technical Expert, your mission consists of:
- Helping to implement new features in connection with projects
- Delivering Technical designs for complex problems
As such, you will carry out the following tasks:
- Technical analysis and development in the above mentioned technologies
- Technical documentation
- Analyze and solve complex problems
- Support for other technical analysts, testers and developers
- Workload estimations
- Advice, appraisal and code review
- Pooling and sharing of knowledge on new applications and technologies used
- Ensure performance and monitoring of the application(s) under your responsibility as well as their continuity and cohesion
Your Skills and experience:-
Essential Skills:-
- bachelor or master degree
- minimum 2 years of experience in the above mentioned technical parts, as much as possible
- knowledge of ITIL and Agile methodologies
- fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset
- Must have for this Technical expert position, at least as much as possible
Generic:
- ITIL process knowledge
- Network protocols
Windows:
- MS SQL Server 2012.
- Microsoft PowerShell 4.0
- Microsoft C# 4.5.
- Microsoft Internet Information Server 6.0 (IIS).
- Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
Linux:
- Oracle Database.
- Linux Scripting
- Java (Maven projects developed with Eclipse using JSON/REST).
- WAS, JBOSS, TOMCAT.
- Versioning tools (ie Dimensions, Git)
Desirable Skills:-
- Take and show ownership of your applications
- Has experience with Agile/Scrum and working with Agile teams.
- Has excellent analytical skills - anticipating and solving problems
- Is a team player
- Has strong communication skills, is transparent and capable of facilitating discussions and alternative solutions
- Is able to manage priorities
- Is well organised and methodological
- Is proactive and autonomous (be able to find its way in complex IT Structure/organization)
