Context
This 4 month secondment/placement represents an opportunity for someone to gain experience of the tasks undertaken within an exposure management department with a strong regulatory focus.
The Role
To support the Exposure Management and Reinsurance teams.
What Will You Do?
- Running, maintaining and developing the LCM
- Monitoring market level catastrophe risk
- Benchmarking and analysing syndicate exposures
- Providing regular internal and external risk reporting
- Generate exposure metrics and context for regulatory returns
- Providing exposure metrics relating to 'Vision 2025'
- Assist in the consideration of exposure monitoring relating to emerging risks within the market
What You'll Need
Keys skills needed for this role is:
- Knowledge of at least one programming language, and an interest in learning others. The team uses R and SQL, so a working knowledge of these would be advantageous, though the ability to learn the basics quickly is all that is required.
- An understanding of, and ability to communicate on, basic mathematical and statistical methodologies.
- An understanding of, as well as ability to communicate on, stochastic and deterministic models.
- Work experience in an analytical role could be advantageous.
