Description
One of our high profile financial clients is looking for an expert Ruby or Python developer to work on an in-house ticketing system. The team member will work closely with the existing developer on implementing and supporting the Tradeplant requirements.
The successful candidate will be motivated and focused. Experience working with MySQL/SQL database is strongly preferred. Good interpersonal skills and effective project management are also critical for the role.
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Working with the current developer to understand the application/development cycle.
- Work with the stakeholders to understand and implement functional enhancements.
- Providing regular feedback, as required by the stakeholders, on application deliveries.
- Becoming a champion, helping users to understand the application and its benefits.
Requirements:
4+ years of Ruby/Python development.
A proven track record of delivering application changes.
A history of working effectively in a team alongside other developers.
Openness to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
Willingness to help teammates, share knowledge and experience and learn from others.
Genuine enthusiasm for the benefits that high quality code design can bring to a product and an organisation.
MySQL/SQL server database experience
Any candidate invited for interview will be expected to bring a portfolio of prior work and be prepared to showcase their contributions to previous projects.
