Job description
Computer Futures need an excellent senior technical artist with experience of working on large game projects, for a new, beautifully crafted indie game. This is a rare and unique opportunity to work on a very exciting new IP.
Project Based Contract: Initially 6 months, with a view of extending for up to 18 months
Full Time: 37.5 hours per week, worked 9.30am - 6pm
Day Rate: depending on experience
Person specification
We are looking for someone who has experience in managing pipelines, being the lead technical art support to a team of artists and animators, as well as excelling at modelling, rigging and texturing for games. Ideally we want someone as competent at working on their own as well as supporting and trouble-shooting for others.
Applicants should have highly proficient in technical issues surrounding all aspects of Maya/Max and Unity. We are ideally looking for someone with a good understanding in Scripting for Maya/Max using Python and/or MEL.
For this role you will ideally have experience in developing games for PC and console (X1, PS4) and working with shaders in Unity. Experience in working with 4k and HDR, would be a bonus.
We are looking for someone highly motivated and enthusiastic, a strong team player with outstanding communication skills. You will need the ability to work effectively to tight deadlines and under pressure whilst maintaining high creative standards.
