Key Responsibilities
- Short-term DBA cover required.
- Provide Oracle technical assistance to our development via assigned Servicedesk tickets.
- Database and application performance optimisation and troubleshooting
- Promote best practices and new methodologies
Experience and Requirements
- 5+ years in a similar role with large-scale enterprise applications and databases
- Oracle Certification
- Excellent knowledge and experience of Oracle 10/11/12 Enterprise Edition database, OEM 12c, database performance tuning, RMAN backup
- Good knowledge of UNIX and Shell Scripting
- Good knowledge of WebLogic Server, Fusion Middleware, SOA Suite and web services
- Experience of Oracle Forms/Reports/Discoverer
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- A self-starter with an ability to work to deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
