Description

Sr. Developer Material Adjustment - Java, Oracle, Eclipse - Dutch Speaker

You will work on a project and assist in the development of the "Adjustment Application Materials". This application gives Real Time information about the status of the equipment and its impact on the timetable. The candidate is capable with this information to quickly reschedule within the application in order to optimally serve the traveler.

The project is being developed in an agile method, which means that you as part of your Scrum team contributes to the development of an integrated solution working in close cooperation with all developers and integrators. This role will be expected to independently plan your tasks, working out and performing. It is up to you as part of the scrum team to deliver an integrated working, installable product along with the other three construction teams. Given the phase in which the project is located, it is expected that you are self-starting and you can customize. This means that you have plenty of recent experience mentioned in the tools/methods used in the table:

The project's vision is that so-called push comes to the software button from the development teams.

The aim within the project for continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps this gives a challenging dynamic field, which also gives a lot of freedom.

One of the characteristics of a scrum team is that you are jointly responsible for the delivery of a finished product. The consequence is that you can take to be able to support one another and work. For you as a developer, this means that your core expertise is developing but we would appreciate it if you are willing to analyse or perform testing.

Activities

  • Translating use cases and non-functional requirements into working software, in accordance with the technical reference architecture.
  • Writing automated tests: unit, integration and GUI tests.
  • Writing technical documentation in support of the software.
  • Conceiving, drafting and reviewing technical design in accordance with the technical reference architecture, requirements for an issue.
  • Understanding a complicated functional domain and thereby asking critical questions towards the Information analysts, software architects and Product Owner.
  • Analysis of functional and non functional findings and propose solutions and document.
  • Serve as a sparring partner at the technical level for the rest of the members of the Scrum Team and all scrum teams
  • The developer is responsible for creating a design and proper implementation thereof, which meet the deliverables to the required quality. On that is first accounted for to the Scrum team and secondly to the Software Architect.

Job requirements

  • Rounded science education at college/university education.
  • Certification Sun Certified Programmer for Java Platform (desired)
  • Certification Sun Certified Business Component Developer for JEE or Oracle Certified Expert, Java EE6 Enterprise JavaBeans Developer (desired)
  • Minimum 5 years of recent hands-on development experience in different organizations.
  • design techniques proven experience in application integration.
  • Demonstrated experience in working in an agile (Scrum) team
  • Knowledge rail network is a plus
  • Candidate has a positive external reference
  • Test work at junior level is an advantage.
  • Analysis at junior level is an advantage.
  • Object Oriented Analysis and design with UML
  • Knowledge of and experience with the development of decision support systems.
  • Understand concepts and industry standards such as HTTP, XML/XSL, WSDL, JAX-WS
  • Experience with Weblogic administration (desired)
  • Test Driven Development (TDD), Junit 4 DbUnit, EasyMock
  • Processes such as Prince2, Rational Unified Process and Scrum (desire)
  • Hazel Cast (desire)
