Job Title: Database Developer DBA SQL ASP.NET/ASP Classic

Day Rate: £400pd
Our client are currently in the process of migrating their Legacy data centres into a new purpose build DC and as part of this there are numerous Legacy applications, databases and Servers that need working on to migrate them into the new environment. This may initially be a lift and shift or a complete migration to a new system/environment. They are currently about 2/3 of the way through phase 1 and now need to engineer out all the older systems and move into their new server environments.
For this role, it is imperative to have someone who has worked with Legacy systems and been involved:
- Relocation of applications
- Inherited systems
- Domain changes
- Database changes
- Moving old systems and hardware
- Rationalising kit
- Moving from Windows 2003 - Windows 2012
- Data transition
- Re-IP'ing new domains
Technologies which will be useful:
- ASP.NET
- ASP Classic
- DBA skills
- Visual Studio
- Migration of live systems
- Support of old systems (SQL2000 to SQL2012)
- Experience with Windows 2003 Server to Windows 2012 Server
- Knowledge of Windows 7, Networks, DNS
