Description
Nature of the tasks
- Design, implementation and maintenance of database layer of SME Interactive platform application Data analysis, data modelling;
- Enhancement of current architecture;
- Definition and integration of database components; Integration with other systems used by SME programme;
- Design monitoring and test protocols on the whole platform
- Define, implement and apply packaging and deployment routines
- Writing of technical documentation;
- Participation in meetings with the project teams
1.2. Knowledge and Skills
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational database systems or of XML and XML-based databases
- Good knowledge of database modelling tools
- Good knowledge of stored procedure languages
- Good knowledge of application development environments
- Knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier web applications
- Knowledge of release and deployment management, continuous integration
- Ability to cope with fast-changing technologies used in applications development
- Ease of communication, ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings
- Capacity to integrate in an international and multi-cultural environment
- Experience in working in a team
- Experience in the interoperability domain to integrate data from different platforms;
- Ability to draft comprehensible documentation in English in a correct language;
- Ability to communicate in a clear manner;
1.3. Education and Experience
- Minimum 11 years of relevant studies and experience after the secondary school;
- Minimum 6 years of IT professional experience;
- Minimum 6 years of cumulated experience with Relational Database Management Systems, SQL, XML and Javascript; Front End development technologies (AJAX, JQUERY, CSS, Bootstrap);
- Good knowledge of relational database systems, SQL and PL/SQL;
- In depth knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier web applications;
- Experience with eXist-DB, XQUERY, XSLT are a plus;
- Experience with Linux and Shell Scripting are a plus;
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The tasks will be executed within the EASME premises in Brussels.
