Web Developer (PHP)
Exciting opportunity to work with a worldwide media company as a Web Developer on a very large PHP Drupal implementation.
This is an incredible opportunity to be in a hands-on development position where you will be working on large scale, high-visibility digital, web and mobile web sites and applications. About 70% of the time you will be working on the Back End with SQL database and 30% will be Front End focused. You must be proficient with JavaScript and be self-motivated to learn Drupal! You will also have the opportunity to join a organization-wide initiative to migrate from this platform from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8. You will be a key technical resource in this high-profile project. In this role, you will contribute heavily to new and existing development and have the opportunity to learn new technologies.
The ideal web developer will understand web development practices including client and Server Side implementations, browser-to-server page rendering behaviors, web caching, page speed optimization and regular expression usage.
If you're a passionate problem solver this could be the next step in your career! You will be regularly white-boarding with team members to understand code, why a scenario happens and come up with practical solutions based on the business and technical context. This is a hands-on development position where you will have the opportunity to own your work during the full SDLC from requirements, coding, testing, peer reviews, documentation, deployment and post-launch support and improvement.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
