Senior Android Developer (Java) - West London - £450 - £500pdPeople Source Consulting are excited to offer a 6 Month Android Developer contract with one of the biggest names Retail.
Working from their West London offices, you will get the opportunity to apply your skills to one of the most recognisable Mobile Interfaces online today.
Key aspects to this role include:
* Design and implementation of Android efficient and stable components according to functional specifications
* Writing unit and integration tests using automated test driven techniques to ensure quality code
* Liaising with product and design teams to explore appropriate technical solutions to achieve the required product features while safeguarding reliability, scalability and performance
* Providing time estimates to assist in planning our backlog
* Reporting issues or technical difficulties to senior team members regularly
* Drive redesigns of the architecture in order to continuously improve performance and quality
* Research and experimentation with existing and emerging technologies
* Provide guidance and mentorship to the other less experienced team members
* Develop tools and methodologies to improve the effectiveness of the development process
Ideal candidates will have:
* 4+ years commercial development experience with the Android SDK
* Strong Java background
* Portfolio of apps launched on the market, (ideally with some e-commerce experience)
* OO design skills and ability to produce clean, maintainable, decoupled and testable code
* Experience with JSON APIs, SQLite, MVP, Content Providers, Maven or Gradle, Material Design, Git
* TDD experience (specifically with Espresso or Roboelectric)
* Experience working in an Agile environment, using Scrum or Kanban
Any Experience with RxJava, Dagger2 and Retrofit would be a strong advantage.
In return my client are offering a Day rate of between £450 -£500pd as well as full use of their excellent, ultra-modern company offices and all amenities.
