An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Web Operations Engineer to join the expanding Ecommerce team of this highly reputable and market-leading organisation.
Coming from a strong background in Ecommerce - in retail in particular - you will be experienced in website operations with Web and Java experience preferred. You will be knowledgeable and experienced of working to ITIL principles and will be confident in maintaining Ecommerce platforms to a high standard.
In this Web Operations Engineer position, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the company's Ecommerce platform, ensuring that the site meets availability goals, transactions perform as expected and capacity availability for the users is excellent.
You will be required to facilitate the resolutions of incidents affecting the platform as well as:
- Leveraging various application performance and web analytics tools and logs to monitor performance
- Collaborating with leadership and business partners to help to prioritise issues
- Tracking changes affecting the Ecommerce environment
- Identifying ways to improve processes, site performance and monitoring
This Web Operations Engineer position with be based in the organisation's Watford office with a competitive day rate on offer.
