Sybase ASE Database Developer/DBA sought by leading financial services firm based in Belfast.
* Understanding of Sybase architecture and how optimizer works
* Experience with efficient query design and performance tuning
* Strong database Back End development with ability to write complex SQL
* Understanding of advanced Sybase concepts like MDA tables
* Experience in database designing of very large databases
* Experience with performing optimization at many levels: server, database, data structures, business processes and application queries
* Planning and executing database schema changes
* Good understanding of database security, standards and guidelines
* Understanding on how Sybase Replication works is a huge advantage
* Database infrastructure engineering for stability and scalability, capacity planning
* Experience on MS SQL Server
* Experience working on Unix/Linux
