Software DeveloperWe are currently recruiting for our client, a leading provider of software and services to the automobile insurance claims processing industry, for a Software Developer to join their growing team in Madrid.

Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into technical deliverables
- Refine and adapt data models and data storage
- Develop and improve the data access layer and provide best practice guidance for data access
- Take ownership of work and see it all the way through the software development life cycle
- Investigate and resolve defects in the established systems
- Help define non-functional requirements and build systems capable of meeting them
- Deliver operationally stable software and help ensure uptime
- Build processes to provide an excellent customer experience
- Be part of a team and contribute to its success and improvement
Qualifications:
- 3 + years of experience in software development
- Proficiency in the following is a must: Java, Spring, JPA, Spring Data, EclipseLink (or similar persistence technology), SQL, PL/SQL, Git, Maven /Ant
- Experience working with databases Oracle or PostgreSQL is a must
- Experience with building large scale web services preferred and awareness of Continuous Delivery practices
- Experience with working with Liquibase or Flyway is an additional plus
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Fluency in English
