Ruby on Rails Developer - Contract - Basingstoke
Your Role:
As an experienced Ruby on Rails developer your will be joining a small dynamic team to develop applications that make our client succeed. You'll be working in a fast-paced, fun environment, and your work will have a huge impact on the company's success. You will have both experience building web applications and the ability to learn and apply new technologies.
Your role will also include;
- Writing maintainable code at lightning speed in a SCRUM agile environment
- Participating in code reviews, create and practice coding standards
- Participating in application testing
About You:
You will be an experienced Ruby Developer, with knowledge of; Rails, Capistrano, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, Javascript, JQuery-Rails, Backbone.js, MySQL, Cucumber, Rspec, Git, Jira, Apache, Phusion Passenger, AWS, Linux (or Ubuntu), Jenkins
Your skills and experience will also include;
- Solid Ruby on Rails coding experience
- Knowledge of the full technology stack and a willingness to dive into any part of the code that needs work
- An eye for detail
- The ability to work among multiple teams and communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical teammates
- A willingness to gain and share knowledge
