Database Developer - Oracle - Java - SQL

We are recruiting on behalf of a consulting organisation working with a highly prestigious, European organisation.

This is a long-term contract opportunity with potential to stay and grow within the organisation.

The consultant shall be requested to perform a range of tasks related to the projects, products, applications and services managed by the ICT unit.

Qualifications/Experience sought:

  • Minimum 11 years of relevant studies and experience after the secondary school
  • Minimum a total of 6 years of IT professional experience in one or more of the following:
  • RDBMS (eg Oracle, SQL), DB languages (e;g. PL/SQL), modelling tools;
  • Java programming (object-oriented core, Maven, J2EE, Spring);
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL;
  • Experience with programming languages, DB modelling tools, web application development;
  • In-depth knowledge of relational database systems, In depth knowledge of SQL;
  • Good knowledge of stored procedure languages (eg PL/SQL);
  • Familiar or knowledge of UML methodology;
  • Proven hands-on experience in:
    • SQL and NoSQL databases
    • XML, XSLT
    • JavaScript (Angular JS, JQuery)
    • Web services SOAP/REST (APIs) and technologies (eg HTTP, certs, cookies, headers, asset loading)
    • ETL (appreciation and understanding of relational databases, ETL principles and data quality)
    • Experience with planning and executing the processing of a variety of data-sources in batch and in Real Time
    • Experience using JIRA, Subversion, or equivalent and experience working in an Agile environment.
