EMC, DIGITAL, ANALOGUE, HIGH VOLTAGE, AUTOMOTIVE

Electronic Design Engineer - Nortampton - 6m Contract - £360 a day

We are looking for skilled, creative electronic engineers capable of delivering solutions of the highest standard on fast paced and technically challenging projects. You will be working for a well-known automotive company therefore experience working in the automotive industry is highly preferred.

Role Specific Accountabilities

  • Capturing safety goals, requirements, designing and delivering solutions at the system level of a high performance hybrid vehicle electronic control units
  • Carrying out system risk assessment and DFMEA
  • Developing safety related and critical systems to the highest standard
  • Simulation, design and development of hybrid system related documentation, technical procedures, test requests and reports, including product development, validation and legislative verification
  • Assisting hybrid systems build, test and external vehicle operations with integration, problem diagnosis, issue resolution and failure analysis

Knowledge, skills and experience required

  • Excellent all round knowledge of electronic engineering practices and systems, including safety and thermal management, and best practice for EMC
  • Design for both digital and analog applications, CAN, LIN and Flexray communications, and multi-processor systems with external memory
  • Excellent understanding of automotive hybrid systems operation to drive designs for high voltage and rotating systems
  • Previous experience of hands on design verification
  • Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills including analysing and understanding complex data
