Manufacturing Engineer - 12 month contract - Special purpose machinery
Yoh Solutions are working with an exciting new client based in the Cambridge area. They have been going through an exciting period of growth this year and have been overwhelmed with the demand on their manufacturing facility. This has opened up a 12 month requirement for a contract Manufacturing Engineer to join them as soon as possible. My client is a specialist manufacturer of bespoke machinery, their machines are highly advanced and utilise various systems, from electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic.
Main duties
- Work closely with designers and engineers to give Design for Manufacture input during product development.
- Develop sound manufacturing methods
- Improve efficiency of production
- Solve manufacturing issues
- Capacity planning
Essential skills
- Excellent manufacturing engineering and process development skills
- Experience of Jig and Fixtures
- Sound knowledge of NPI Processes
- High standards of quality
- Experienced with continuous improvement
- Would ideally but not essentially have a good understanding and experience of Lean manufacturing
