Insurance Assistant/Administrator - 8 Month Contract - Immediate Start

We are recruiting for one of the nation's largest commercial companies who provide an extensive range of construction services including construction management, general contracting, design and build and preconstruction.

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive Insurance Assistant/Administrator to join our Highways Joint Venture Project in Warrington on an initial 8 month contract. The ideal candidate will assist with the recovery of monies for damage caused on the Area 10 Network and provide support with gathering information for reports to Highway Agency for claims against the highway authority.

Key Requirements

  • Collation of MRT Report Sheets from NCC to identify recoverable works and gather further information from relevant depots
  • Interrogation of works order data base system for relevant information from MRT Report Sheets, eg Police information and completed works orders
  • To input data from MRT sheets into the appropriate databases and backup systems.
  • To send to third parties the appropriate letters relating to claims
  • Maintain the administrative systems
  • Collation of completed works orders from Depots and check against recovery sheets before filing, ensuring recovery position back up
  • Assist the Green Claims Officer as appropriate
  • Participate in the administrative and clerical duties associated with Red and Green Claims
  • Undertake any other tasks commensurate with the grade and nature of the post

You

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience of administration.
  • Enhanced IT skills in Microsoft Office Applications, particularly MS Excel and MS Word
  • GCSE's A - C (or equivalent) in English and Maths BTEC/NVQ in related discipline (or equivalent)

Experience - essential:

  • Good understanding of Administration procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing).
  • Good customer care skills with ability to relate to people at all levels
  • Good attention to detail with good accuracy recording ability

Experience - desirable:

  • Ability to prioritise workload and respond to deadlines.
