Software Developer / BI & Data Developer - Data Delivery - SC Cleared
Java / Agile / SQL / Postgres - London - £450/day - OUTSIDE IR35
2 year project
An experienced Software Developer / Data Developer is required to join an agile team working with huge amounts of both structured and unstructured data. You will be required to develop data marts and cubes using SQL and other technologies, build SQL stored procedures in Postgres and Hive, and develop APIs using Java and Spring Boot. You'll work in an agile environment following a prioritised backlog.
Please note, this role requires SC Clearance.
Essential skills and experience for the Software Developer / Data Developer
*Ability to build APIs using Java
*Experience of working with complex data structures in json format
*Experience of writing SQL to transform complex data in large databases. Experience of creating stored SQL procedures to support reporting requirements.
*Knowledge of the following tools: Postgres, Mongo, Spring Boot, IntelliJ, HDFS, Hive
*Knowledge of Business Intelligence production best practice and creation of data marts / cubes of data
*Experience working with a government organisation
