Proteus Europe is searching for a SQL Server DBA for one of our clients based in Belgium. This is a long term role with a large prestigious organisation.Our Client :-
Our client is a major player in the insurance industry. The company provide life insurance and non-life insurance (auto, fire, accident, hospitalization, civil liability and other) and supplementary pensions.
Your New role :-
The Role as a MS SQL Server DBA at our client has its main focus on ensuring the availability, integrity, confidentiality and security of information.
This includes maintenance, performance monitoring and tuning, security administration and capacity planning. The DBA is also the in-house expert for MS SQL Server and is a consultant for the in-house IT development teams.
To achieve these goals a Data management framework has been developed (.Net), which you needs to expand and maintain, to give the best service possible.
Your Skills and experience :-
Essential Skills :-
- Good knowledge of Windows Server Operating System versions 2008R2, 2012R2 and optionally
- Excellent knowledge of SQL Server versions 2008R2, 2014
and optionally 2016.
- Excellent SQL Server knowledge in order perform deep-dive performance troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of SQL Reporting (SSRS), SQL Analysis
(SSAS) , SQL Integration Services (SSIS) and of course T-SQL.

- Willing to participate in a guard rotation system and willing to perform activities outside business hours if there is need for.
