Title: Tools Specialist (Oracle database administration and application developer) - Google Fiber
Project Overview:
We are building a suite of systems to support Google Fiber's business. You will be working with other engineers to develop and maintain web applications used by external partner and users. Your primary work will be maintaining an Oracle database, along with other Front End or Back End development related work - Java, Javascript, HTML/CSS. You will be working in a fast paced environment with a lot of learning opportunities.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support Oracle database as DBA.
- Maintain and support a high-volume production application built on top of Oracle database.
- Develop other web applications integrated with existing applications.
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field (In lieu of degree 4 years relevant skills or equivalent experience).
- 2-4 years of experience with SQL and developing web applications on Oracle database.
- 3 years of experience maintaining Oracle database.
- 2 year of strong Java coding exp
Nice to Have Skills:
- Proficiency with Python, Ruby, Javascript, HTML/CSS or similar web based application development technologies.
- Experience with Salesforce application development is preferred.
