Scala/Hadoop Developer Kafka/Impala & Airflow
Looking for a Scala/Hadoop developer for a long term contract assignment working for an international banking client based in Holland. You and your team will be responsible for the build and improvement of the Big Data Cluster. You will work in a state of the art Agile environment where taking initiative is well appreciated. You will work in an enterprise environment with a strong Back End order management system for clearing and settlements.
- Strong Scala and Hadoop Development skills in an Enterprise Software environment
- A logical mindset and an aptitude for problem solving
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- A good understanding of software design and development principles
- Experience making changes to large enterprise applications
- Experience working in E-commerce applications
- An understanding of Agile processes including XP practices such as Pair Programming
- Experience applying testing practices such as Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD)
