Description
Operations Support Engineer wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector.Your experience/skills:
- Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or other related engineering / science fields with profound data analysis experience
- At least 3 years of experience in engineering, engineering support, or technical support environment or equivalent consulting experience
- Solid understanding of Oracle database and general database concepts as well as excellent SQL skills with some PL / SQL knowledge
- Ability to read SQL Loader files and understand the load process and other essential ETL skills along with proficiency in UNIX
- Basic understanding of bash scripting, Informatica Powercenter and Python as well as advanced knowledge in Control-M
- Ability to work the occasional after hours support is a must
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Managing resolution of technical issues for multiple applications on many different layers
- Coordinating resolution in cooperation with various team members for majority of issues, analyzing root cause and assisting in efficient resolution of all production processes
- Providing excellent support in communicating and reporting all the encountered issues, responsive follow through, and advocacy for client issues within internal departments
- Prioritizing numerous issues of varying severity, managing the resolution of all issues within accepted service levels and maintaining the problem tickets related to these issues
- Collaborating with peers, Requirement Engineers, Business Analysts and Operations Staff to resolve client issues while actively contributing to a growing knowledge network
