Description

Purpose of the job:

Engineering Team Lead needed for a project to redesign an electronic control module for an aircraft system. The candidate must have excellent customer facing skills, as the programme will require close liaison with the client and in the initial stages (up to six months), will be carried out at the client's site in Chester, the project will then be brought back to Bristol.

Key tasks/Responsibilities:

The ETL will lead a team of five engineers. S/He will be the primary technical point of contact with the customer and will represent the company at all technical meetings with the customer. S/He will also provide strong technical guidance to the other team members. The ETL will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure successful delivery of the project.

Knowledge & experience of DO-160
Knowledge & experience of PHAC
Requirements analysis & capture
Electronic design experience (digital and analogue)
Team leadership/project management

Proficiency required:

This programme of work will include elements of systems engineering, hardware and software, so the candidate must have a minimum of five years experience in a similar position and be able to demonstrate leadership in these fields.
