Description
My client is looking for a Full-stack Scala Developer with solid Scala and Web experience to be based just outside Amsterdam, Netherlands on a 6 month rolling contract.You will be working with some of the most cutting edge technology on the market in a fully agile/scrum environment. You will use your ability to find creative solutions using technologies such as Scala/Akka/Slick/Angular JS.
What you will need to do during the contract:
- Build large-scale Scala API services based on Akka HTTP, Slick, ScalaTest
- Be able to work with JavaScript and AngularJS
- Creating modular and scalable code that integrates with their platform as well as external API endpoints
- Working independently and collaboratively in a development cycle environment with a cross-functional development team
- Keeping assets organised and optimised to create a maintainable code base
- 3+ years as a Full Stack developer working on E-commerce products (web applications)
- Scala skills (Ideally, Akka HTTP, Slick and ScalaTest)
- Solid knowledge of HTML5, Javascript and REST
- AngularJS/Javascript experience
- Technical testing
- Understanding of modern development tooling, such as GIT, continuous delivery and integration
- Agile/Scrum experience
For this role, remote working will be considered but you will be expected to be mostly on client site.
