Required qualifications of the Contractor's staff
Java, J2EE, REST, SOAP Web Services
The Contractor's staff shall be able to demonstrate knowledge in solution architecture, in particular in Information Architecture.
Besides, the Contractor's staff shall demonstrate the following skills:
- Experience in defining the architecture of large IT systems;
- Previous system development life cycle and development experience;
- In depth expertise in the area of systems integration;
- Experience in working in large organisations;
- Experience with UML;
- Experience with similar projects;
- Knowledge of TOGAF and Archimate (modelling language for Enterprise Architecture);
- Knowledge in Front End technologies (Javascript, Angular2);
- Knowledge in Business Process Management and Rules engines (for instance JBPM, Drools);
- Knowledge of authentication standards such as Kerberos, SPNEGO;
- Knowledge in Middle-tier (web-services, web clients, Back End of web clients, Java, JBoss);
- Basic knowledge in the following Mainframe software (Z/OS, MVS, OMVS, batch, CICS, MQSeries, DB2, Cobol, Java);
- Deep understanding of authorization mechanisms supporting fine-and coarse-grained authorization and externalization of authorization from business applications;
- Expert knowledge of J2EE technologies;
- Expert knowledge of REST architectural constraints and development of Restful web services;
- Experience in the area of data bases, relational and non-SQL;
- Knowledge of SOAP web services;
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation;

- outstanding written and oral communication skills
- ability to work with people of different cultures and in remote locations
- Good Communication skills, interpersonal skills and analytical skills.
Being active in a multi-cultural environment, contractor shall have a very good level of English (oral and written, eg C1). The knowledge of other languages (German and French) will be highly appreciated.
PGP Domain Architecture
More specifically in the PGP Domain Architecture area the following tasks are expected:
- Maintain the PGP domain architecture consistency,
- Define the application level roadmap and transition and the application integration.
- Refine Level I Enterprise architecture
- Contribute to the EA&I reference model
- Define the Solution building blocks and design patterns (if applicable): which implementation(s) for each building block.
- Define PGP transition architectures
- In the specific PGP project architecture area the following tasks are expected:
- Design and develop solutions in line with the Target Architecture,
- Refine and tailor the PGP Domain Architecture
- Contribute to the Enterprise Architecture portfolios of principles and standards, and to the baseline, transition and target architecture (model) repository
- Define solutions, using architecture and solution building blocks applying design patterns.
- Define the traceability between requirements and (parts of) the solution that realise them
Due to the nature, the complexity and the constraints of the work, other deliverables could be added to the above list as required.
Location of the work
The location of work for shall be at the client site in The Hague 5 days per week.
