Description of Tasks:

  • Grabbing of data from various sources (Scopus - metadata adjustment, Scopus - reprocess from raw data, EPO data, Lexis Nexis data, others)
  • Semantic-related: Concept dictionary building, Bag of words calculation, Concept categorization.
  • Use and control of EMM text mining processing chain (On request process chain, on update processing chain, controller, Common search language compiler)
  • Development of modules for visualization subsystems, in interaction with users (Compactness module, Automatic keywords module, Journal category module, Entity resolution module, Geolocalization, others).
  • Database for visualization subsystem (Merge of different sources, duplicate detection).
  • Event detection subsystem (composite indicators implementation, New keywords detection, Clustering, Clustering labeling, Interface for clustering analysis & navigation, Search string definition from dataset, Discovery of new keywords defining a technology, Fresh keywords detection, regression module, Report module).
  • Newsflow subsystem (Subsystem setup, Web site, Informative web site (based on a blog).
  • Application suite installation and configuration.

Technical skills:

  • Experienced Java Programmer, Tomcat, Servlets + good analytical skills, text mining techniques

General skills:

  • Excellent English.
  • Experience of working in an international/multicultural environment
  • Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication.
