An exciting, long-term opportunity is available at DG COMP in Brussels for an Enterprise IT Architect. DG COMP is primarily responsible for direct enforcement of EU competition rules, ensuring that all companies compete equally and fairly on their merits. This benefits consumers, businesses and the European economy as a whole.
We are looking for someone with the following profile to join our team assisting DG COMP with their mission:
Experience
- Proven experience in defining enterprise architectures and extensive knowledge of enterprise integration patterns
- Proven experience in defining systems' architecture, especially J2EE
- Hands-on experience with web services (SOAP, REST, etc.) and core XML technologies: XML, WSDL/XSD
- Hands-on experience with SOA Middleware technologies and software suites
- Experience with Datamodelling, especially logical, but also physical models
- Proven experience in applying Enterprise Architecture principles to business needs analysis
- Experience in drafting of IT project architectural documents and representing different views of an enterprise architecture
- Java technologies, tools and frameworks: Spring, Spring MVC, JPA (Hibernate)
- Minimum a total of 3 years with one or more of the following: enterprise architecture tools, such as Metis, software maturity models, or business process analysis tools such as Aris
Education and Soft Skills
- 8 years of IT professional experience
- Proven experience with quality procedures
- Strong capacity in writing and presenting studies
- Very good inter-personal, oral and written communication skills are crucial
- Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment and participate in multi-lingual meetings
The successful candidate should be able to start in July 2017. This position is offered as a long term freelance contract.
