Description
Our client in Chevy Chase, Maryland is hiring a Oracle DBA III. This is a permanent position. Our client has excellent benefits to offer, including average 21 percent profit sharing bonus.Responsibilities include:
1) installing/upgrading Oracle software
2) designing/configuring Oracle databases, monitoring, analysing and improving database performance, detecting and troubleshooting problems, and maintaining documentation and scripts.
Our DBAs are responsible for both development and production environments as well as database backups.
The selected candidate must also maintain database security to meet PCI/SOX and other security requirements and may interface with Internal Audit regarding database security.
The following is MUST given this is a LEVEL THREE role:
-Excellent understanding of Database design and database optimization
- Excellent understanding of database platform and storage architecture as well as design/implementation considerations for all types of Oracle workloads
Required:
- Oracle 11g and 12c
- RAC
- DataGuard
- Grid Control
- Oracle GoldenGate - extensive experience REQUIRED
- SQL & PL/SQL
- Unix commands and Shell Scripting
- Excellent understanding of Database design and database optimization
- Excellent understanding of database platform and storage architecture as well as design/implementation considerations for all types of Oracle workloads
