Daily rate contract position with a global IT company based in Drogheda. Mobile app development with strong Javascript required, excellent company with strong possibility of extension/permanency.
The company is in the E-commerce sector and processes millions of orders each month in a fast paced, highly competitive market - as such their development team must deliver quality, feature rich updates, constantly evolving applications.
Reporting directly to the CTO, you will have real impact on & responsibility for the development of their flagship mobile products. As part of a team you will deliver mission critical applications that work across many platforms giving customers an awesome ordering experience across mobile, tablet & desktop applications.
They're seeking to add an experienced JavaScript app developer to their R&D team who has solid experience in building great cross platform Mobile Apps & Web Applications based on Angular, Vue.js or Kendo.
Responsibilities
- Produce scalable maintainable features for our suite of mobile apps & web based products
- Lead both the development of features but also the future technology decisions we make on frameworks, platforms, standards and UI/UX
- Consult with the product owner and customers to outline and agree new feature requirements
- Maintain and update the UX and UI choices across all our mobile apps and web products
- Ensure all HTML, CSS and JavaScript is scalable and maintainable and the best standards are followed across our team
- Be flexible, willing and able to learn about our full product stack (back and Front End development) via team collaboration
Education and Experience
- 2+ years hands on experience relevant experience in JavaScript hybrid App & web application development preferably in frameworks such as Angular 1-4, Vue.js or Kendo
- Commercial experience with enterprise product development in web, app and cloud based product teams is preferred
- Commercial mobile app development
- A passion for maintainable code (JS, HTML, CSS) and Front End design
- Experience using CSS pre-processors (eg SCSS, LESS) and build tools (eg Grunt, Gulp)
- Knowledge of best UX/UI design practice
- Knowledge of version control systems
