Cost Engineer/Estimator - Corsham
6 month contract - ongoing
£450.00-£500.00 per day
Microsoft Excel/SharePoint Basic/SC Clearance/Engineering exp./Satellite Comms exp./Cost Model
Day to day Responsibilities:
Estimating and maintaining Whole Life Costs (WLCs) for both services and equipment, including but not limited to:

Providing detailed and logical Cost Data Assumptions Lists (CDALs)

Proactive research and sourcing and referencing of information for cost estimates

Break down the product, service or a system into its component parts, including estimating development effort that may be required to deliver the design/performance specifications required

Build up an estimate of the costs of the lower level products, systems and services at prices - if necessary splitting between materials, people and software/other intangibles

Identify when and at what rate over time the necessary items can be delivered

Identify the appropriate inflation or other cost adjustment factor index to use

Identify the currency of origin and the VAT rate applicable
