Description

We are looking for an Infrastructure Solution Architect to work at our multinational client in The Hague

Expected tasks and deliverables by the Consultants

In the context of a radically changing infrastructure landscape and the opportunities presented by technology trends like big data, responsive web design, ubiquitous Internet access and cloud computing the Enterprise Architect shall propose infrastructure and security target architectures and the associated roadmaps.

Tasks:

  • Establish the complete business context for the solution;

  • Translate business requirements into solution design and technical requirements including performance and security;

  • Understand and apply standards and principles to create compliant solutions;

  • Produce the solution architecture;

  • Review solution design;

  • Coach on solution architecture matters;

  • Propose standards for solutions;

  • Develop standard architecture solution patterns, in all architecture domains including security, operations and integration;

  • Perform activities related to the Architecture Governance (eg contribute to compliance and conformance assessments).

Educational and experience

  • University degree in IT with minimum 12 years hands on experience as Solution Architect.

  • Proven experience with Togaf and Archimate/UML

  • Very good knowledge of Sparx Enterprise Architect;

  • Knowledge of Application Server technologies: JBOSS, IIS;

  • Knowledge of web server technologies: Apache, Tomcat, IIS.

  • Knowledge of Nexus, Maven, Ant,

  • Knowledge of data interfacing and interoperability;

  • Knowledge of data migration.

  • Experienced with working in large government/public-body organisations;

  • Experienced in multi-national environment;

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including experience with teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.

  • Ability to influence - and gain the support of - a wide range of stakeholders at different levels in the organisation.

  • Experienced in cross-departmental transformation.

  • Very good Communication skills, interpersonal skills and analytical skills.

  • Being active in a multi-cultural environment, the Contractor's staff shall have a very good level of English (oral and written).

  • The knowledge of German and French will be of added benefit.
