Unix and Perl Lead
Wroclaw
On Linux, the application is controlled via a lot of scripts (ksh, bs, Perl.)
These scripts are used to:
- Manage the input interfaces (Files in push or pull configuration, MQ)
- Start/stop/control the whole application. (eg failed processes will be automatically restarted)
- Log handling
The script framework has historically grown and needs a redesign.
Additionally, this role also includes the release management of the core application.
This includes packaging and deploying to the various stages.
Skills and requirements:
- Expert Linux and Scripting languages (Shell, Perl, Python) is a must
- Experience with complex application design
- Java/C++ knowledge as a plus
- Highly motivated with outstanding analytical skills
- Fluency in English required
- Out-of-the-box thinking to provide innovative solutions and ideas
- Flexibility, a proactive approach, sense of responsibility, and perseverance
- Excellent ability to work collaboratively in a distributed, diverse team and across cultures in a global environment
