Description

My client, a busy government agency, is looking for a certified Splunk Architect to join their forward thinking team within the People & Corporate Services division.
You will be based in Macquarie Park but will sometimes be required to travel to and work from other Sydney sites.
The role is an immediate start and will contract through until July 2018.

Primary Purpose

Certified and experienced Splunk - Architect, to deliver complex client Splunk deployments and configurations. Must have extensive experience to operate and maintain Splunk log management infrastructure and leverage knowledge on a number of areas

This includes:
1. IT operations, DevOps, Analytics, Information Security, and networking.

2. Comprehensive experience communicating and interfacing with key project stakeholders

3. Engineer, configure, & deploy Splunk products

4. Log management solutions

5. Develop automation for security tools management

6. Create customized search heads

7. Develop adhoc searches using your programming & development expertise in languages such as Java, Python, Shell Scripting, and/or regular expression

Key deliverables of this role are:
Perform ongoing system administration
Monitor and resolve issue/bug tickets related to Splunk.
Help drive end-user adoption of Splunk through documentation, support and training of new and current employees.
Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and help related materials for users
Drive standards within Splunk implementation.
Project manage activities related to Splunk customizations and/or developments.

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 3+ years of experience with rule and advanced logic creation within SPLUNK.
Splunk Certified Administrator
Preferred Qualifications:
Splunk Certified Architect.
