Overview
This is a Senior Systems Analyst role based in Dublin. The Analyst team supports the delivery of solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment, supporting international teams.
The nature of our projects is centred on Back End system interactions.To achieve this, the focus of the systems analyst is to work within the detail of system interface specs, data mapping and gap analysis. Whilst there are supporting tools available to our customers to facilitate their integration to our products, there tends to be very little UI work involved.
Solid analysis skills are a must for this role, as is a technical understanding and interest.
Experience of working within an Agile environment, and writing user stories, is required. API's & XML along with diagrams and gap analysis experience heavily favoured.
Role:
Work closely with internal Product Managers to understand high level business needs & business requirements.. Please note this is not a client-facing role.
Collaborating with your Agile development team to understand the impact on systems and agree the optimal functional solution
Through team backlog creation/grooming sessions and individual elaboration activity, define user stories that capture the functional requirements identified to meet the agreed solution.
Take an active part in the end of release demonstrations to the wider team
Produce internal & external-facing supporting documentation using standard templates and natural language.
Perform initial impact assessments on new project work, to facilitate estimations.
Take responsibility as directed for defining detailed solution proposals to new projects that are more complex by nature, or encompassing multiple system interactions
Be an advocate for the Agile processes with the Agile team and the wider team
Provide ad-hoc coaching to more junior member of the team and Contribute to regular Analyst team training sessions or say wider team knowledge share
Technical Skills:
Key competencies are required in working with internal & external interfaces, with APIs & XML.
Basic competencies in SQL/querying writing are useful.
Familiarity with diagrammatical system representations, eg sequence diagrams
Person Profile:
Solid analytical skills are essential, ie the ability to take high level requirements and drill these down into detailed functional requirements under your own initiative.
Comfortable working at a detailed level with interface specifications & doing related data mappings.
Ability to work collaboratively with development and business stakeholders within an Agile team
Able to communicate effectively with both business & technical audiences
Payments experience is a plus but not essential
