Java Developer
One of our leading clients is looking for an experienced Java Developer for a lucrative long-term contract. The ideal start date is 18th September 2017.

The Role:
- Analyse Requirements and design solutions
- Work as a part of Agile development team on Java based engineering/transformation projects
- Collaborate with other global IT teams
Experience and skill:
- Quick grasp of functional requirements and translate into technical designs
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to estimate, plan and manage technical deliverables
- Strong technical and team-working skills
- Self-motivated, looking to take ownership of assigned areas of applications design and implementation
- Enthusiastic, keen to learn and share learning with others - functional and technical
Required skills:
- Strong Core Java experience of 5+ years (including latest JDK features), with 2+ years strong experience in Enterprise Java
- Experience in Java-based development and deployment across platforms
- Good grasp of SDLC and Core design patterns
- Solid RDBMS and PL/SQL skills
- Experience with Java messaging/JMS, MQ, SOAP/HTTP, etc
- Experience with Continuous Integration/DevOps tooling and concepts
Strongly Preferred skills:
- Solid Linux/Unix Shell Scripting experience
- Financial experience (Investment Banking)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in build automation tools (Maven, Ant, etc)
- Experience with Java transformation/engineering projects
- Understanding of Legacy technologies like IBM Mainframe
