OPs engineer/Continuous Delivery Expert

For one of my globally leading tech/banking clients, I am urgently looking for an OPs engineer/Continuous Delivery Expert for a long term contract in Paris.

You will have worked within a banking environment and essentially will have at least 2 years of experience in the support of a banking application area. Knowledge of the digital world is a plus.

In addition you will have the following skills and experience:

- A mastery of virtualization concepts
- Proficiency in GNU/Linux environments (preferably RHEL)
- Shell mastering (sh, ksh, bash)
- Knowledge of AIX
- Proficiency in SQL
- Administration Jboss, Tomcat, Apache
- Very good knowledge of GIT
- Advanced knowledge of JVM
- Knowledge of standard X.509
- Knowledge of SSH protocol
- At least one InfrastructureAsCode tool
- Knowledge of Jenkins
- Knowledge of Maven
- At least one deliverable management tool (Nexus, Artifactory)

Qualified technical skills/knowledge:

- Experience with production tools (schedulers, monitoring solutions, CFT)
- Good knowledge of REST, HTTP codes
- Development languages: Java, Ruby, Javascript

Job Description:

Working within our clients IT department, you are integrated into one of their Agile teams referring to an application domain.
Within it, as Ops Engineer, you make sure that one or more applications work correctly, are responsible for their stability, monitoring and availability. You also maintain the necessary platforms and infrastructure.
You are also responsible for maintaining deployment tools and platforms.
Finally, in collaboration with the Delivery Engineers, you ensure the quality, durability, test coverage and robustness of these applications.

In this context,

- You maintain and improve the deployment chain, ensure the feasibility of solutions on the perimeter of the team
- You specify, design and execute technical tests (performance, high availability, disaster recovery ...)
- You provide DevEngineers with the means to write and run functional tests
- You manage the production setups (specify, design, test and deploy the packages) and maintain the infrastructure code in order to guarantee a homogenization and an expected status.
- You configure and implement 24/7 monitoring tools and manage incidents, problems and changes on the perimeter you are responsible for.
- Manage life cycle processes for applications, systems and databases
- You maintain, update and ensure the availability and proper functioning of the team environment
- You are fully integrated into the life of the team and are a full member, thus participating in all Agile rituals
- You are committed to spreading skills and are a force for proposals within the team
- You carry out a technological and functional watch and to keep you up to date with technological developments, notably by participating in internal conferences, at an international level within the Group and externally.

Contract: 6months +
