Description

Senior Clojure developer sought after by global organisation.

Develop the Back End for the Drawing Comparison Tool allowing scanned drawings revisions to be compared in an automated way.

The Back End is a distributed masterless system.

The software will be able to select the revisions to be processed, compare them applying several algorithms and report the results in an annotated document.

Competencies

  • Computer Science, Engineering, mathematical or equivalent background.
  • Highly proficient in Clojure Back End development (incl. httpkit, core.async and clojure.spec).
  • Experienced with distributed system design and implementation (preferably onyx).
  • Design and understanding of functional, asynchronous and immutable programming design patterns for modern Server Side applications. Be familiar with modern best practices.
  • Comfortable with Linux environment and running application in production environments.
  • Unit and integration testing methodologies.
  • Design of systems interacting with databases and queuing systems.
  • Good project management skills in an agile environment.
  • Good (documented) problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Following knowledge is considered as a plus:
    • Local development environments using Ansible and Vagrant
    • Experience withActiveMQ, Redis, MongoDB
    • Experience with other functional languages
    • Experience with JavaScript.
    • Experience with image processing (OpenCV)
