Software Engineer / Software Developer / C++ / Python / SciPy / Numpy / Signal ProcessingWe're looking for a Software Engineer to work for a leading Semi-Conductor in the Bio-Medical space on a initial 6 month contract with views to extend.
They have a fantastic working environment which incorporates the best of both worlds as it is a mature environment and industry but is still very much a start-up with huge financial backing. They have a great culture and take a common sense approach.
The successful Software Engineer will have a proven track record of Python and C++ development and commercial experience working with signal processing.
The Role:
The Software Engineer will join a team 3 or 4 other Engineers.
The key responsibilities include:
· extend capabilities
· develop new types of visualization
· unify and centralise
· test better
Other responsibilities include:
· Down-selecting and filtering the data into subsets in both the time and sensor domains - often with algorithmic deductions.
· Performing the signal processing itself - which can include filtering, complex transformations of the input signals, and mathematical / statistical / empirical deductions of phenomena.
· Introducing standards-based file formats and potentially populating databases with post-processed data. Maybe in the Cloud.
· 'Understanding' a wide variety of experimental contexts, and conditioning input data accordingly, before the signal processing kicks off.
· Creating visualizations (and interactivity) in the form of graphs and diagrams
· Modelling said visualizations
· Orchestrating the running of the code over large data sets - in a statistical context, plus reporting or exporting the results.
