Senior Specialist - modem algorithm design (5G, LTE-A).
Experience/Skills:
To be successful in this role you will have at least 10 years' industrial experience in wireless baseband development & strong background in wireless communication, ie familiar with LTE & evolutions & good knowledge on physical and MAC layers. A PhD degree in computer science, EE, wireless communication or equivalent background is highly preferred.
An impressive list of papers & patents is a significant plus.
Familiar with Matlab, C/C++ languages and Scripting (Perl, Python, etc.)
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the physical layer algorithms development in particular related to 5G. Implement also new LTE-A features & troubleshooting to improve performance, reduce implementation complexity.
Analyse the research area and define problem(s), derive & identify & define potential algorithm(s) & perform extensive computer simulations. Document, patent and/or publish selected ideas.
The work will be done in very close cooperation with the other departments/teams within the company involved in 5G
